WPD Serves Search Warrant at Residence
On May 16, 2019 at 1:45pm officers from the Warrenton Police Department (WPD), Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), Clatsop County Parole and Probation, and Department of Human Services (DHS) personnel served a search warrant at 526 NW Date Ave. in Warrenton. The warrant culminated a long and protracted investigation by all of the agencies after receiving several complaints from the neighborhood about suspicious activity involving people coming to and from the residence.
The warrant service involved a skilled, tactical entry by CCSO personnel and the use of a loud distraction-device called a “flash-bang.” After the residence was secured a subsequent search by officers and Warrenton Police K9 “Gabe” resulted in the seizure of heroin, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia for using both drugs, and cash.
Arrested on the scene were:
- Melissa A. Roberts, 40-years old, charges include: Frequenting a Place Where Controlled Substances are Used, Possession of Meth, and possible additional charges are to be referred to the Clatsop County DA’s Office.
- Michael Konecny, 31-years old, charges include: an outstanding Felony Parole Board Warrant, for being Out of Compliance on Sex Offender Registration, and possible additional charges are to be referred to the Clatsop County DA’s Office.
DHS was involved in this investigation because Robert’s two children, ages 16 & 13, also live at this residence but were not home during the execution of the warrant.
