Budget Committee

The Budget Committee was established by state statute to ensure citizen involvement in the preparation of the budget. The city budget is a joint effort between the people affected by the budget and elected officials responsible for providing the services. 

The Budget Committee consists of the City Commission and an equal number (5) of appointed members of the community. An appointment member must be someone who is qualified to vote in elections within the City of Warrenton. Appointed members serve on the committee for three years. Budget meetings are scheduled in the spring of each year. There are usually four to six meetings scheduled during this time.
