Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing Type 3 applications which require a public hearing. These include conditional uses, variances, land subdivisions, and large site plans for new buildings. The Planning Commission also makes recommendations to the City Commission on new Comprehensive Plan policy, land use issues, and any other matters relating to the planning and development of the city. By charter, the Planning Commission is appointed by the Mayor, composed of seven members, with no more than two of the members engaged in the same occupation, business or profession able to serve on the commission. 

The Planning Commission meets every 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:00pm in the Commission Chambers at City Hall.
