Police Officer - Entry-level or Lateral

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Police Officer with the Warrenton Police Department! Police Work is a very rewarding profession, and the Warrenton Police Department is a great place to work!

For an Entry-Level application, the Warrenton Police Department utilizes the testing process through the National Testing Network (NTN). Other than a few documents, all test scores and applications will be submitted through the NTN. The NTN will allow you to submit one application but to share it with multiple police agencies that are hiring. The current hiring process for the WPD was opened on September 1, 2024, and will remain open until filled, but will have this timeline for the first review:

• October 1, 2024, conduct our first review of applications. Make sure you have completed and sent the application, testing, and other documents to the WPD or through your NTN account by September 30, 2024, at 5:00pm.
• October 7, 2024, Oral Board Interviews at City Hall (scheduling preference given to those coming from outside the area, and depending on the number of apps, we may have a 2nd date). There may be a virtual option as well.
• Conditional offer(s) made pending an extensive background review, medical exam, drug screen, and psychological exam.
• Possible Chief’s interview and Final Offer.

Candidates MUST:

• Entry-level applicants need to create an NTN Account, complete the Frontline National Test for Law Enforcement, complete the NTN Online Application and NTN Personal History Questionnaire, and then allow the WPD access to NTN.
• BOTH Entry-level and Lateral applicants MUST download and complete the City of Warrenton Job Application and Pre-Employment Questionnaire from the City Website (www.warrentonoregon.us/jobs) and then upload them to your NTN Account or email them to the WPD at policechief@warrentonoregon.us. The application and pre-employment questionnaire can be printed and dropped off at the WPD (225 S. Main Ave.) too.
