Hammond Marina Dredging Notice
The City of Warrenton Marinas is very excited to begin dredging the Hammond Marina on November 1st 2020! This project is a huge accomplishment for our City and essential for the continued use of the Hammond Boat Basin & Launch. Due to the location of the basin, we are limited to a 60 day dredge window and limited to ebb tide dredging. Due to these limitations, dredging may occur during any ebb tide day or night until December 31st, 2020 to complete as much work as possible. There may be lights and noise from the construction during this time.
We also have a few important details to share with our community members that plan to use the basin during this time.
*Bergerson Construction is planning to keep the launch ramp open but may limit vessel traffic to 2 of 4 launch lanes during certain times of construction
*Bergerson will be on VHF channel 17 and will be able to move/accommodate boats as they enter/exit the marina if they are in the way. They compared it to “road work” - you might have a wait a few minutes to come and go at certain points during the dredging process but for the most part, it will be open
*C, D & E dock will be closed for moorage the entire duration of dredging
