69 NE HERON AVE SIDING PROJECT

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The intent of this contract is to replace the siding and gutters on the building located at 69 NE Heron Ave, Warrenton, OR 97146. The following is a brief summary of the major elements of Work that are to be provided by the Contractor.

1. Remove and dispose of existing siding down to the sheathing.
2. Remove and dispose of existing gutters.
3. Install new water-resistant barrier (house wrap) according to manufacturer specifications.
4. Install color coordinated flashings on windows and doors, where applicable.
5. Install new painted dark grey board and batten fiber cement siding.
   1. Install corner trim and starter strip, where applicable.
   2. All siding and trim termination joints to be caulked with professional grade sealants.
6. Install new 5k aluminum gutters (grey).

Project Substantial Completion shall September 22, 2023 and Project Final Completion shall be September 29, 2023.

No pre-bid meeting will be held.  Questions regarding the project during the bid period shall be submitted to Esther Moberg, Urban Renewal Director, via phone at 971.286.2017 or email at emoberg@ci.warrenton.or.us.  It is recommended that the potential contractor visit the site prior to bidding.  The building is available for inspection with an appointment.

Any bids received after the above specified time will not be considered.  The carrier, including the United States Postal Service, is considered an agent of the bidder.

Bids will be publicly opened and read by the Urban Renewal Director at 2:00 PM, local time on September 7, 2023, in the Warrenton City Commission Chambers.

If the total bid exceeds $50,000.00 the contract will be subject to Prevailing Wage Statute ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. The contract is NOT subject to federal prevailing wage rates under the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 3141 et seq).

Prior to submission of its bid, bidder shall be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractor’s Board as required by ORS 701.055, and thereafter comply with the requirements of ORS 701.035 to 701.055.

Bidders shall be qualified in accordance with the applicable parts of ORS 279C in order to submit a bid for public works in Oregon.
