Road Work on Dolphin Avenue - COMPLETED

THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETED

Public Works is replacing a failed culvert which crosses under the lower end of SE Dolphin Ave, as it approaches the Hwy 101 intersection.

The work will begin on Monday, 9/23 and barring complications is expected to take up to two weeks to replace the culvert, back-fill the trench and repave the road surface.  For traffic and worker safety, the road will need to be closed during daytime working hours.

The road will be plated and reopened at the end of each work day.  A modest traffic detour will be set up (along SE Warrior Way/SE Bugle Ave), including advanced warning traffic signs.

We appreciate your patience through this time of needed construction.  Thank you.

***Update on the SE Dolphin Avenue culvert replacement:  upon further site-specific investigation, Public Works has determined it is unsafe and impractical to reopen the road until the culvert trench is filled.  Accordingly, the Contractor will begin on Monday (9/23) and is expected to reopen the road on Thursday (9/26).

Again, we appreciate your patience as this failed culvert is replaced.***
