Public Hearing Notice -Proposed Sale of Property

CITY OF WARRENTON - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PROPOSED SALE OF PROPERTY

Notice is hereby given that the City of Warrenton proposes to sell to VFW Post/Auxiliary #10580 certain real property, located at 861 Pacific Drive, Hammond, OR 97121. A legal description of the property is available by contacting the City Recorder as described below.

The City Commission considers it necessary or convenient to sell the property in order to transfer ownership and responsibility for repairs and maintenance of the grounds to the VFW, rather than continue City ownership of property that has been leased to the VFW since December 15, 2022. The property is currently the site of VFW Post/Auxiliary #10580, as it has been since December 15, 2022, and would be subject to a reversionary clause in the event it is no longer used in that manner.

This notice is provided pursuant to ORS 221.725.  A public hearing on the proposed sale will be held on February 11, 2024, at 6:00 pm, in the Warrenton City Commission Chambers, 225 S. Main Avenue, Warrenton, OR 97146. Any resident of the city will be given an opportunity to present written or oral testimony at the hearing.
