NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PROPOSED SALE OF PROPERTY
FEBRUARY 14, 2023 – 6:00 PM
Warrenton City Commission Chambers, 225 S. Main Ave., Warrenton, OR 97146
Notice is hereby given that the City of Warrenton proposes to sell to Community Action Team Incorporated of Columbia County, Oregon certain real property, commonly known as the Head Start building, located at 200 SW 3rd St., Warrenton, OR 97146. A legal description of the property is available by contacting the City Recorder as described below.
The City Commission considers it necessary or convenient to sell the property in order to transfer ownership and responsibility for repairs and maintenance of the building and property to the Community Action Team, rather than continue City ownership of a building that has not been operated by the City for over 25 years. The property is proposed to be used as a Head Start facility, as it has been since 1996, and would be subject to a reversionary clause in the event it is no longer used in that manner.
This notice is provided pursuant to ORS 221.725. A public hearing on the proposed sale will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at Warrenton City Hall, 225 S. Main Avenue, Warrenton. Any resident of the city will be given an opportunity to present written or oral testimony at the hearing.
