The City of Warrenton, Oregon has designated a finalist for the position of City Manager: Benjamin Burgener. The community will have an opportunity to meet the finalist during a virtual online reception the evening of Tuesday, April 5th at 6:00 pm PST. Benjamin Burgener is the current City Manager for the City of Stanfield, Oregon. Mr. Burgener’s other experience spans both public and private sector positions including: serving as City Administrator for the City of Ada, MN; Finance Manager/Administrative Services Manager for the State of Utah-Department of Transportation; Director of Inside Sales for CirclePix, LLC; National Business & Government Account Manager for Emergency Essentials; and as a Market Area Manager for Wells Fargo Bank. Mr. Burgener is a member of the International County City Managers Association (ICMA), Oregon County City Managers Association (OCCMA), National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), and the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.

He holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management (emphasis in commercial and community recreation) with a Minor in Not-for-Profit Management from Brigham Young University. Mr. Burgener says that he is self-driven and will work to create a healthy workplace that aligns with the community’s vision, takes care of its staff, has a solid direction, achieves growth, is innovative, and has a healthy culture.
